Professor Manoj Dixit is a very well-known expert in the fields of administrative theory, public policy and tourism management in Uttar Pradesh and in India. Currently, he is working as head of department of Public Administration at University of Lucknow. Also, he is anAdjunct Professor for School of Political Science and Public Administration at University of Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, Sichuan, China since 2011.

 

He has written nine books on topic like tourism and administration. Also, he has published more than 32 articles in various renowned publications. In addition, more than 30 students have produced Ph.D. thesis under his guidance in the last 12 years.

 

He has worked as external expert to National Teacher Education Council. He was also a member of a select group to receive Training of Trainers conducted by prestigious Thames Valley College, UK at Hyderabad.

 

He is life time member of some of the major administrative bodies in the field of tourism like Indian Public Administration Association, Indian Institute of Public Administration, Indian Association of Tour Operators, Youth Hostel Association of India, American Society of Public Administration and Indian Tourism Congress. He earned Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from University of Lucknow in 1994 on "Tourism Management in U. P."

U.B. Singh, M.P.A., Ph. D. (Human Resource Development), D.Litt. (Time Management), is a unique combination of a Teacher, Trainer and Researcher in Urban Management, in particular, and Public Administration, in general. He was awarded with a Special Urban Management Programme under Colombo Plan at University College London (U.K.) and participated in an International Training Course on Administering Good Governance at Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok (Thailand). He has served the urban sector for about three decades in different faculty positions with Regional Centre for Urban & Environmental Studies, Lucknow University, Lucknow. As Reader & Head of the Department of Public Administration at the Mizoram Central University, Aizawl, he updated the decades old curricula in Public Administration at PG and UG levels.

 

His special focus areas include Urban Governance, Democratic Decentralisation and Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Building. He has taught Local Governance, Management Thoughts, Development Administration and Public Policy at Post Graduate level in the Mizoram Central University, Aizawl and Lucknow University, Lucknow. He has conducted scores of Executive Development Programmes for senior level officials and people’s representatives of urban local institutions from northern and north-eastern parts of the country.

 

Dr. Singh is a prolific writer. He has authored about a dozen books on different themes. Some of the titles include Urban Local Government, Administrative System in India, Human Resource Development, Fiscal Decentralisation in Indian Union, Urban Government in South India, Women in Rural Government, Assessing Training Needs in Urban Management, Urban Government in North-Eastern Region, Democratic Decentralised Governance in India in New Millennium, Time Management etc. Besides he has edited a number of volumes including titles on Revitalised Urban Government in India, Urban Administration in India, Empowerment of Women in Urban Administration, Leaders in Making, Privatisation of Municipal Services, Ethics & Accountability in Urban Governance etc. In addition, he has to his credit more than two dozen research studies and more than fifty papers published in reputed journals and edited volumes.

The journey dates back to May 2003 when he became a Chartered Accountant and started practicing from 2005. Since then, his quest for empowering the clients with intelligent and timely solutions has taken him through many enriching associations. Over the years, he has garnered a deliverable expertise and experience on a wide range of dominions: Taxation, Transfer pricing, Internal Audits, Account writing, Project Reports etc.

 

His experience is also in foreign countries like the USA, Canada wherein he was instrumental in setting up the companies and its processes. He has a flair in loan processing in retail and corporate made him the largest DSA pan India of the biggest home loan company of India.

 

His expertise in restructuring and process oriented jobs has helped many companies revive and grow. From Jewelry, manufacturing, retail, construction, hospitality, being an active part in the revival of companies in these verticals has helped him gain an huge oversight of businesses.

Prof. M. Moni is a well Known Senior Technocrat in the field of Informatics and e-Governance in the Country, having more than 34 years of experience, and his publications have generated academic and research interests in the areas of regional development, agricultural development and informatics development. He was the former Director General of National Informatics Centre, Government of India.

Prof. M. Moni has played a significant role in taking e-Governance in India and strived hard, thought strategically for long-term solutions, fought ground realities and challenges faced the country, yet devised ways to succeed. This is how the Good Governance Magazine (September Issue 2011) describes about him and identifies him as “e-People” of September 2011. He is a known technocrat in the field of Agricultural Informatics both in India as well as abroad. The DISNIC programme is still relevant in the era of e-Governance in India.

Prof. M. Moni is an Academician, Researcher, Author, project developer, project implementer, organization builder, optimist and above all, a man of missionary zeal. He has been nominated by the Government of India, as the Visiting Professor to SHOBHIT University to nurture “Agricultural informatics” through higher education during 2011. He has proposed to the Government to establish a “National Centre for Agricultural Informatics and Computing”. His mission to establish “Agricultural Polytechnics” and “Agricultural ITIs” to ushering in S&T based sustainable agricultural development in the Country, is finding inroads among the educational Institutions in Rural India..
